For years, Williamsburg has been one of my favorite Department 56 series, and this summer I finally had the opportunity to create my own interpretation of Colonial Williamsburg featuring every building and accessory in the collection. In the article, I share the inspiration behind the display, the techniques used to build it, and plenty of photographs from the finished village. As a sneak peek, imagine a bustling colonial town complete with a flowing James River, historic landmarks, and scenes inspired by one of America's most treasured historic destinations.
